There is a growing concern over the levels of mercury found in certain foods and other products recently. As a result, the Highland Park St. Paul General Dentist receives numerous questions from concerned patients about the amount of mercury contained in their dental fillings. These fillings are referred to as amalgam or sometimes silver fillings, but in addition to other metals they are composed of about 50% mercury.
